Request unlocking privileges
For any users who have unlocking permissions, they must generate their own unique user key the first time unlocking Clinical Analytics. After generating the key, a System Administrator or Clinical Analytics Support staff member can grant unlocking privileges. User-specific keys are an extra level of security we’ve implemented to better protect your patient information. Use the following instructions to request unlocking privileges. After the encryption key has been downloaded, a user does not need to repeat this process.
- Click the Unlock icon
in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Enter a password. This is a user-specific password used only by you. It does not have to match your password used to access Clinical Analytics.
- Select Download Private Key and save the key file on your computer. You must use this password and file every time you unlock Clinical Analytics.
- Click the Lock icon
.
- Contact your Clinical Analytics Administrator or Clinical Analytics Support to grant your unlocking privileges in Clinical Analytics. After they have given you privileges, you can unlock Clinical Analytics using your user specific key and password.
NOTE: We recommend saving the key (a text file) in a folder you will remember, and giving it a more simple title so you can find it easily.
For Clinical Analytics administrators
